The Chicago Minority Business Opportunity
Center (Chicago MBOC) is funded by the U.S. Department of Commerce,
Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) and is operated by the Chicago
Minority Business Development Council, Inc. (CMBDC) a premier organization
that for over 30 years has been dedicated to the development of Minority
Owned Business Enterprises (MBEs).
MBDA is the only federal agency created
specifically to foster the establishment and growth of minority owned

organization committed to wealth creation in minority communities.
Specifically CMBDC services over 150 local
and national corporate members, provides procurement, growth and
professional development Setlife.org opportunities to over 1,000 certified minority
supplier (MBE) affiliates (African-American, Hispanic, Asian American and
Native American) and is one of 39 regional affiliate councils of the
National Minority Supplier Development Council, Inc. NMSDC links over
15,000 MBEs and over 3,500 corporate members.
In conjunction with this strong leadership
and recognition in Supplier Diversity, the Chicago MBOC serves as a
catalyst in nurturing and expanding these relationships towards the

growth. Our mission is to increase business ownership opportunities for
minority business enterprises and to positively impact their ability to
